Title: Rubbing noise from front of car - 2017 (PD) SR model
Post by: Gazza-75 on March 15, 2024, 04:47:24
Hi all,

Had this issue pretty much since I bought the car second hand mid 2020.
The rubbing noise seems to come from the front left tyre when driving either forwards or in reverse with the wheel turned to the left (not necessarily fully locked) and tends to be worse when reversing.

I've asked Hyundai to investigate a few times with them saying that they could not find anything.
I've had a look myself and the wheel arch liner is intact and not loose. I've confirmed the wheel goes nowhere near the liner or wheel arch when turned fully left, and right. The wheels have been rotated a few times during this issue, but the rubbing persists ruling out a 'bad' wheel.

I'm at a complete loss as to what can be causing this issue and was wondering if anyone else may have come across this issue and managed to figure out what was wrong.

Any ideas are much appreciated.
