If your UK car was built after 2009 it will be fitted with a Diesel particulate filter (DPF) and requires a special grade of synthetic oil class ACEA C2 or C3. Details will be in your owners manual.

Google for Synthetic engine oil ACEA C2 and you will be spoiled for choice

  So many choices and everyone has their own opinion, I like Penrite,some like Shell Helix,others like Nulon,

Don't save your money on engine oil. It's important to use good oil.

I use Shell Helix Ultra Extra C3 because mine have the DPF.
