They look almost identical from behind yet neither copied the other's homework.

I considered the new Corolla for all of about ten seconds. The interior was enough to turn me off buying it.

That's interesting, I must check the interior out ... I don't mind the exterior styling. (one of my sister-in-laws has just bought the new model)

The exterior styling isn't too bad. I've seen a number of them on my route to work, but I'm not all that impressed with the exterior styling either. I think Toyota have taken a bit of a step backwards with this model, but the Corolla has, at least in my mind, always been a cheap & frumpy reliable car.

*Edit*

If you look at the 86 & Corolla (new model) side by side, you can see a bit of design similarity. It looks like Toyota may be bringing a design style to the range similar to what Hyundai are attempting with Fluidic Design.

I think that toyota had a real identity crisis with this one.... I can see bits of hyundai, honda, ford and the rest lol
