A CLASSIC car will drive you mad. Sometimes it won’t start and sometimes it will start but stop 20 miles down the road in the middle of nowhere.

So why is it almost every car journalist, including my colleagues at Top Gear, owns a classic car?

Because they’re interesting, sometimes challenging to drive and often very beautiful.

Oh yeah - Some ripper cars among that lot. The MGB was a beautiful looking car, Morris Minors always a favourite and had a couple of TC/TD 6 cylinder Cortinas that went like the clappers.

But no Classic Car list is complete without the fantastic Ford Mustang. Here are a couple from my stable
68 Coupe

69 Grande Coupe

Next week we begin a full restoration on our 69 Mach1

Any other Classic Cars among Forum Members ?

I think the E-Type and Mustang would have to make the list  :goodjob:

Talking of classic cars...

My Dad who lives in WA and will be 89 Y/O in July has just bought this  :o

It is a 2004 XK8 Jaguar... (Worth more than both our cars put together) :faint:

It's funny. I was driving to Brisbane to work yesterday morning and thought it might be good to start a thread on here along the lines of "pick the five best looking cars in your opinion which you'd like to have siting in a garage somewhere to just drive for pose value whenever you felt like it".
Had a slightly different slant on it to this thread so I might start it anyway. If the mods prefer it merged with this they can do it.

My vote goes to Datsun 240Z, Valiant S series, Valiant Charger, VW Beetle - and for some love hate kinda reason - I'd love to have a Citroen DS.  The good thing about the 240Z is its a very reliable car too.

Great cars, each for different reason but if i should dare to make a prediction i'd say that they shall never become classics.
Another famous prediction said:
"We don't like their sound, and guitar music is on the way out." (Decca Recording Co. rejecting the Beatles, 1962)
