Tesla is suing the BBC, claiming 'defamation and malicious falsehood' following an episode of Top Gear. Up against a petrol Lotus Elise, the electric Roadster was shown to run out of juice.

i remember that,it supposedly took the top gear guys 16 hours to recharge the car. once recharged the electric car went on to beat the lotus in a drag race by about 6 car lengths. i remember telsa having to fit a single speed transmission to the car because the electric motor had so much torque it would destroy transmissions with more than one gear.
