Over a coffee and cookie I was idly browsing eBay for tools as part of my retail therapy.  When I searched for “Hyundai tools” I came across these two gems pictured below, from the same seller.

The unremarkable spanner is available at the bargain price of AUD$59 while the equally unremarkable screwdriver could be yours also for AUD$59.

FFS!!  This seller gives your average price gouger a good name.  If you shop around you can buy same-type tools as these for about $10 each.  I hate blatant greed whether it's by Hyundai and/or the seller!

End of rant.  My wife may be right; being old and now more housebound (thanks Covid-19!) has made me a grumpy old man.

PS. I love automotive tools; have a hideously expensive collection for a DIY-er and many times I have paid over the odds for a particular tool I wanted badly enough…but that pricing is just ridiculousl!

Lol
I agree TerryT. I think there must be a simple explanation for the high cost of these precision tools. I believe they are manufactured by hand, forged from the highest quality steel and then shipped through a speedy shipping service via Wuhan where they then sit for the next 4 months and arrive at Customs in Melbourne only to sit for a further 2 months. I can see where our hard earned $$$ gets chewed up...
