I have an i30 GD model and I am thinking of changing the stock flasher relay with an LED compatible modern flasher. The stock one makes the turn signal clicking sound, if I replace it with the LED one which makes no clicking noise, the car won’t make any clicking sounds when I enable the turn signal/hazards??

Sorry, I had to move this.. wasn't exactly world news.. :D
I would think that would be a bad idea. It can be quite dangerous if you start leaving your indictors on in error.

I know! But I read that the GDs don’t depend on that relay for the turn signal sound. Is that right?

Not sure. If it is only cheap i'd just get one and try it. If it doesn't work just swap it back...

You should just get LED´s thats got a resistor on it, (often called CANBUS compatible), then your relay wont go beserk on those LED´s :goodjob:

I changed my cluster to the supervision one and the indicator sound changed too so, yes the car does not depend on the relay for the sound!
