Title: Faulty Battery
Post by: CCsPack on October 28, 2009, 11:36:32
My i30 is about 9 months old & done 12000km. After refusing to start 3 days in a row (& needing RACQ each time) I finally got a chance to get is the a service agent today (outside work roster). They tested it & said it was faulty, so they gave me a new one for FREE, under warranty. The battery is meant to have 630CCAs & the battery only had 80CCAs.
It was funny to sit in the waiting room, to see the apprentice walk out, get in, turn the key & see the brake light pulsate... not starting :) After only just parking the car there less then 30 minutes ago. Imagine the problems I would have had if it started properly.

Well that's good news :)

Presumably the battery is covered for the full 5 years? I might check on that.

The 12 months is a bit negative, the 2 years a bit more positive.

See what I did there? :D
