Sorry if this is a little off topic, but after reading this thread, I bought a 16GB USB pen drive.
I simply added a number of MP3s that I already had on my PC to test it, but the car reads the USB drive as empty.
Do I need to format in a particular way, or have MP3s of a cetain size or create some sort of folder on the pen drive?

just FAT or FAT32 for the format. Should play fine.

I think you need to ensure that the drive is formatted to FAT32.
