I've noticed that when you view a members profile there is a part that says add to buddy list. what does this feature do,did i miss a post/thread discussing it.

You only see that option if another member thinks you're worthy of being a friend

That's why you never saw it before

It's been there a week or so. Try adding a member as a buddy then see if you can spot how some of the forum's features change a little (like the "whos online" summary)

You can add buddies via your profile, under the "edit buddies" link. I think you use can wildcards too, or add them in one go, separated by a comma

Just to see how it operates I've added Shambles, 2i30's, agentr31, surferdude, rustynutz.

Now lets see what it does?

OK this seems to be how the buddy list works.

In the users online section at the bottom of the main board page it shows in brackets after the ?guest, ?users (? buddies)

So I had 5 guest, 6 users (1 buddies)
