Title: "come home lights" won't stop
Post by: Markyc95 on March 23, 2019, 14:58:33
I have a 2011 i30. I used to be able.to leave my parking lights or main beam lights on and once I got.out of the car and locked it the would turn off after a certain amount of time, or if I pressed the lock button again. This no longer happens. They just stay on until it I turn them off on the stalk. Has this happened to anyone else?

I don't know anything and there are some really clever lads in this club.  That said, I would in the first instance disconnect the battery for a while forcing the ECU to reboot.  :goodjob: :goodjob:

Do you have an "auto light" switch on the stalk, and if so is it left in the "auto" position when you exit your car?

The cars I've owned with the follow-me feature needed the light switch left in auto.

If you are already leaving it in auto then do as Asa suggested and disconnect the battery -ve terminal for an hour, to allow the Body Control Module (BCM) to reset.
