Title: Noise of the timing chain.
Post by: stof2007 on August 20, 2020, 14:48:30
Hello everyone,
My Hyundai  i30, acquired new in August 2015, is starting to show noise in the timing chain at 56400 km (October 2018), the after-sales service told me at the time that the noise was normal. Currently my car has 77,862 km on the odometer and the noise is getting louder and louder.
I attach to this two audio massage: The first in neutral without acceleration and the 2nd in neutral with slight acceleration:

Please, is the problem with the timing chain or something, and what should I do?
Thank you

The sound is odd and doesn't sound right, but it's hard to know what is causing it. It could be the cams and tappets.
