Don't put a religious sticker in your car's rear window - you could lose your car insurance cover

I think they should bring back hanging for insurers who actually think they should be able to get away with these clauses.

Declare a roof rack?,  Declare Alloy wheels? Go Faster stripes?...... or your insurance is void????

Only in the US and it's 51st State

Happily I live in the Netherlands, and unless you strap a Rolls Royce gas turbine to the roof your pretty much covered for everything  :P

its the same here, you should declare any mods done to your car as the insurer's will try everything not to pay out if you try to make a claim.

My Astra went from £310 up to a whopping £779 after declaring my mods,  rather be safe than sorry when it comes to these insurance leeches

One of my arguments with them was the replacement of aftermarket wheels, I could buy a set of alloys for more than less half the price of the manufactures alloys so how can you charge me more? Answer, company policy, if its nots manufactures specific item you pay a premium

:whsaid: absolutely anything to get out of paying, no matter how ludicrous.

And there's a realy big chance that aftermarket alloys were made by the same people who make the OEM wheels.

All  changed with the new legislation of April 2013 where insurers are not be able to refuse a claim based on something which has no direct bearing on the claim. This will be further advanced by the Insurance Act 2015 coming into force in August 2016.
