Hi all, well in two week's myself & some friends will be tsaking a trip though blue mountains and out west on some rough roads. Four full size adults (two Male two female ) plus luggage. so will see how my i30 CRDi stands up and see what economy it gets.
it's just on two years trouble free 57,000k now

Just got home, had 360KG combined weight 4 people & baggage, went 1,000k with that load in one week. Betsy really surprised me & my friends she took the load with ease still has not had the fuel light come on. some of the driving was in Sydney CBD. i put my friends on plane to SA they asked how much fuel to go to Adelaid i said one tank & i beleave i could do it.
the tank b4 this with just two of us in car got 4.4L/100k
i'm going to have it serviced and switch from Castrol 5W 30W syntetic to ELF synthetic as the synthetic bases in the Elf is a lot better at handling heat but it's much more expencive.
