I'll repeat this post in the two 'remote key' topics, for maximum exposure - admin can delete if they think I've gone over the top.

I'll also leave others to work out the significance of this adaptation in 'other areas' if you know what I mean, but in general terms this is good news.

That is interesting news.  It should make a lot of difference to those i30 owners who have ony received the standard issue of 1 remote and one standard manual key.

Yes, mine is the same as Thumpers... except my alarm is not armed when I lock the car with the key on the remote either, it only arms when I use the remote button, is that the same as you Thumper ?
What a joke...

Foxey, yup, same, when I use the 'service' key, the alarm does not arm (Ergo, does not work)
