Title: Sticky stuff remover
Post by: BrendanP on September 03, 2021, 15:41:59
A friend of mine had their window winder fail so the glass wouldn't stay up. As a temporary measure, gaffer tape was used to hold the window up. Now the tape has been removed it has left the backing adhesive on glass and door seals. Removing it from the glass is no problem, but I'm concerned about using solvents on the rubber parts in case they start dissolving it.

Can anyone recommend a good product to get the glue off without damaging the rubber bits?

A good product on the shelves here is Orange Spot & Goo Remover  :link: Woolworths Supermarket - Buy Groceries Online (https://www.woolworths.com.au/shop/productdetails/864937/orange-power-spot-goo-remover) ,though for what you're doing I think Methylated Spirits would work just as well and won't ruin the rubber.
