I've just bought a 2007 1.6 CRDi. It doesn't come with the aux and USB sockets as standard. I think the CD unit it the PA710R. With my other cars I've been able to buy a cable that plugs into the rear of the CD uni with had a 3.5 mm jack plug that worked from the Aux function.
Is this possible with my new set up, or what are my options please
Cheers, Andy

Hi Andy.

I'm surprised to hear the lack of a USB/audio. My 2008 i30 had these in the centre armrest. You have checked there, haven't you? ;)

In my 2007 crdi it was in the centre arm rest.

Open it up and you will find it, i think, oon the front bit at the bottom.

When i bought my car the lead came with the car.

Thanks for the replies. I hadn't looked in the arm rest. Will have a look when I pick it up.
Seems a long way from where I'd want my iPhone to be to see satnav.  Could be some interesting cable runs!

The armrest storage box has a little lip that you can route a cable through while it is closed, and it also helps to keep the USB drive out of sight away from prying eyes. Around here they will smash a window for the equivalent of a dollar if you aren't careful, one of the reasons I chose the Hyundai (uber storage compartments! :goodjob2:

Just picked the car up. Just as you said the aux & USB ports are in the arm rest. Didn't notice them at first as they are behind a flap. All sorted now thanks
