Title: Chip in Nline chrome
Post by: robbo137 on December 23, 2019, 09:51:54
Hi all

I have what seems to be a chip in the chrome grille on the front of my Nline.

Has this happened to anyone? If so, how did you fix it?

It’s the outside chrome bit that makes that diamond shape.

Thanks and merry Xmas!

Edit: it might not be chrome - but it is silver in color.

it's painted. good luck finding the right colour.  I scratched the under lip on my n-line (same colour part) and ending up painting it Hyundai Sleek Silver as we just happen to have another Hyundai in that colour. its maybe one shade different.

The correct code according to Hyundai dealer is XAA Hyper Silver - but they couldn't order it and I've not been able to source it. I don't notice the difference any more.

Thanks for that!

So the correct code for hyper silver is XAA? That’s annoying you couldnt source it! Did you see if you could get it mixed up? How does yours look painted? I guess it’s on the underside of the lip so you wouldn’t see it unless you got under the car?

Yeah we have super cheap here. Might try to get Th e hyper silver mixed up and if not sleek silver.

Do you know the code for the sleek silver?

Thanks Dazzler!

Looks like I have another Xmas project. I’ve tried to fix this one other chip like 15 times...

@mickd

I know  :scared:

I’ve got two others that should have ended new car syndrome but maybe this will be the last straw. I’ll never wash it again and straight to 91 fuel... maybe even service it every 30k now too.

Dealer suggested RAH but by that time I'd already touched it up with sleek silver.

If RAH does turn out to be the right code please come back and let us know.

I’m confused now  :crazy1: which is easy to do..

Is it sleek silver - RAH or

Is it hyper silver - XAA?

Merry Xmas!
