  • My i30
Is someone having noise problems with i30? The most part of the guys that bought an i30 in Brazil are having problems with noise.

Anyone have this problem? They fixed 3 noises in my i30 and just came another one.

Doors, Panel, suspension...

I'm really sad about this and thinking why didn't bought other car.
It's not happening only with my car, but with the most part of the i30's here.

I've had no noise or vibration on mine.

When you close the doors I get that dull thud which to me indicated "solidness".

I'm so pleased with the build quality.

In recent months there has only a few reports of rattles, one from behind the glovebox, and one from the "top" storage bin above the radio. There are suprisingly few reports of any other types of noise.

Are you sure it is the mirror?

Did you ever see the advert when it turned out that the noise was the girls/wife, (the passengers) earing.

it could be that the rear seatbelts clips are tapping against the body work or the plastic inside this has happened to me and be putting the seatbelts into its holder solves the problem. .. just like above from spark130 but only from the rear.... where does the noise come from ?

there is another thread on this and, yes, i've got a truckload of interior rattling noises. was told by the dealer that trim noises are not covered beyond 1000km.. so i'm on my own. what a joke! i told them that was unacceptable, but they stood firm. i have about half a dozen constant rattles and vibrations. i get the one from the rearview mirror when driving on slightly coarse road, plus the glovebox, plus the entire dash, plus the hood over the speedo and tacho, plus the passengers b panel trim, plus two others down the back... had the glovebox replaced, but that noise is back again.

it completely sucks to tell you the truth. if you closed your eyes you would be convinced the car has done 500 000 km, something like that. but it all started from day one.

not sure if i can recommend an i30, simply for this reason. otherwise it is a great car. but the interior vibration makes it a chore to drive anywhere.

i got my lovely new car yesterday and it developed a rattle on the drive home
its somewhere around the right hand speaker that sits on the inside of the side rear vision mirror
everything feels nice and firm but its sounds like something is loose inside

will take it back to dealer tomorrow to enquire
and i have a sneaky suspicion there is a small rattle on other side of the car but too far away to tell and drivers side one too noisy

i'm disappointed there is a rattle and i really do hope it can be fixed as rattles are just dreadfully annoying, it mars what i'm finding to be just a perfect little car so far

Oh sorry to hear that ...
To be honest, jokes aside about the Mrs, I don't think ours has a single rattle (other than the normal diesel rattle!).

Has it been tinted, or had any add on work done after it left the factory???

Not that is makes anyone feel better, but Fergie is as tight as a gnat's chuff. No noises whatsoever. Used to have a rattle in the glovebox but that stopped when I returned it to the neighbours baby :P

You or the car

Used to have a rattle in the glovebox but that stopped when I returned it to the neighbours baby

Now be truthful - It was yours which you used when you sang along to the music on your trip to/from work.

Hey Mr Tamborine man - or should that be - Hey Mr Rattle man

my main rattle just stopped! only had it two days
it now does a light creak here and there but no rattle. its a smart rattle

i have another rattle other side of the car and sometimes the rear vision mirror starts to but i glare at it. i'm waiting for these to show themselves properly so they can be dealt with by the full force of the law.
