Not sure, but if Miranda Kerr has I'd volunteer to find them.

I know, but it's better looking than a Corolla.  ;)
Hell yeah. :goodjob2:

The more we think about the options... the better it gets.. Hy could really do some neat stuff if they wanted to impress and use some of the European options, such as the  rear end as Pip mentioned.

Hears hoping... :winker:

I'm thinking Hyundai may have had a change of heart over the CW due to Holden bringing in the new Cruze Sportswagon early next year..... :undecided:

Btw, it will be interesting to compare the build quality of the Korean i30 Hatch against the CW seeing as it's coming from the Czech Republic.....

Just don't order the "leather" steering wheel. High delamination rate from Czech plant

Ok.... so what is the general opinion of the Czech built vehicles from our European members...are the UK cars also from that source? Pont being that I would still be interested in persuing the possibility of trying to coerce Hy into allowing Australian enthusiasts the opportunity of  selecting the options that they would like in their car....how it was in the "old days"   :winker:

If the CW vehicles have to come form that factory,  how good would it be to be able to get a "bulk" order to them via the forum.... :happydance:

They would be assured of the sales... assured of happy customers and excellent PR.

I know that there has been a move away from that style of ordering and that we now have the 2 or 3 levels of finish and equipment....almost like the Model T Ford days where "you could have any colour as long as it was black" !!!! :laughter:

I figure...nothing ventured nothing gained....it would certainl;y test how well Hyundai really listen to the public... "The previous i30 CW proved extremely popular, accounting for over 20% of total i30 sales," said Oliver Mann, Marketing Director Hyundai Motor Company Australia. "The New Generation i30 Tourer will likewise hold strong appeal for both private and business buyers."

Daz/Shambles....Could we run a post to get expresed interest of those who would be looking at an Australian 2013 CW and the options they would like to have available at time of order?

Come on... lets be proactive!!    :Prayer:

Cheers   Elle B

I've mentioned before that I wish for the old days when you could peruse the options list and tick whatever you wanted.
I like your thinking but I'd be surprised if Hyundai will come at it. Good luck though - always worth a try.  :goodjob2:

Think this might be a slightly different link about the Corolla than the one beerman posted elsewhere..

http://news.drive.com.au/drive/motor-news/new-toyota-corolla-1000-less-than-old-one-20121018-27tmh.html

Ironically they say the corolla Wagon is unlikely to come to Australia because it is made in Europe and would work out too dear  Where have we heard that before  :whistler:
I think the difference is that the Corolla Wagon was always a lame duck sales wise (and bloody ugly, too).

And no funky economical diesel engine for the rep racers.

OK Tony (elleB) I'll have a shot at it after I come back from Repco  :goodjob:

They may start making them in Korea and supply the USA as well

Thanks Dazz.....maybe Alan ( our road testing specialist) or our Euro members can put a list together of the various options available on their side ...including suspension... sunroof  etc etc... and we can come up with a spreadsheet.    :happydance:

Meanwhile can we have some opinion re build quality etc ex Czech...

Keep thinking laterally... :whistler:

I wonder how long between launch and availability of specs etc and the availability of the actual car!!!..  One would think/hope that these details would be available well ahead of the product...so  yes DB08, it could be a bit of a wait. :blubber:

ElleB might be about out of warranty by then.. :fum:

What's your source SPman..., not that I doubt it...just wondered   ;)

Somewhere of the Hyundai OZ site maybe ? So far I found this ..

"i30 Tourer
Following the successful launch of the New generation i30 hatch in 2012, comes the eagerly awaited wagon sibling the i30 Tourer.

Offering the same Euro designed style, the Tourer shares the same wheelbase as the i30 hatch and offers an additional 185mm in total length offering even more practicality and versatility. Stowage space improves with an additional 150-litres over the hatch with seats up, and an additional 326-litres more space with the seats in fully flat folded mode.

The i30 Tourer is displayed in UK specification, featuring a 1.6-litre Gamma GDI petrol engine developing 99kW power and 164Nm torque driving through a 6-speed automatic gearbox.

The i30 Tourer model on display is UK specification. Australian specification i30 Tourer is planned for 2013 launch in Australia."

Actually from here.. Same link as Rusty posted previously..

http://www.hyundai.com.au/about-hyundai/news/Articles/New-Generation-i30-Tourer-Previews-at-2012-AIMS

Following the successful launch of the New Generation i30 hatch earlier this year, Hyundai Motor Company Australia has previewed its much-anticipated wagon sibling the i30 Tourer, at the 2012 Australian International Motor Show.

The attractively designed Tourer offers customers the i30's exceptional levels of comfort, refinement, and efficiency with the additional benefit of increased stowage space.

Designed in Rüsselsheim Germany, the i30 Tourer reflects the signature ‘Fluidic Sculpture’ design language of i30 hatch, and will be manufactured in the Czech Republic for export to Australia.

Sharing the i30 hatch's 2650 mm wheelbase, the i30 Tourer adds 185mm in total length and offers 528-litres of stowage capacity with rear seats up, an increase of 150-litres over the hatch. This expands to a massive 1,642 litres with the seats in the fully flat folded mode - an increase of 326 litres. Supplementary underfloor storage compartments further add to the i30 Tourer’s versatile and practical nature.

The flowing lines of the exterior, incorporating Hyundai’s Fluidic Sculpture design language, ensure the i30 Tourer stands out from traditional wagons. Boasting a sporty profile, i30 Tourer's flowing lines conceal a spacious and practical interior packed with comfort and convenience features.

“The previous i30 CW proved extremely popular, accounting for over 20% of total i30 sales," said Oliver Mann, Marketing Director Hyundai Motor Company Australia. "The New Generation i30 Tourer will likewise hold strong appeal for both private and business buyers."

The i30 Tourer is displayed in UK specification, featuring a 1.6-litre Gamma GDI petrol engine developing 99kW power and 164Nm torque driving through a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The Australian range and specification details will be released at the time of launch, which is planned for the second quarter of 2013.
