Hi guys,

New member from Australia here with a 2008 CRDi, which I think an SLX model (the one with inbuilt front foglights and climate control).

Several things I want to do since I got the car:

1. Replace the HU with the one with inbuilt Bluetooth
 DONE, thanks to youtube, lol

2. Install the steering wheel phone control button
After reading this particular sub-forum I am now scared to do it due to "the airbag installation may require new clockspring"

3. Swap the stalks position
This is my only car at home and work with the indicator stalk on the right and wiper stalk on the left.  I saw on eBay plenty of UK-sourced parts have them the other way around.

Is it hard to do? Do I need to:
a. re-reoute cables inside the steering cowl?
b. Just plug them and BCM will recognise them?
c. Just plug them and reprogram the BCM at the dealer?

4. A bit related to the no 3 above, I need to enable the rear foglights.
Without getting into discussion of "it is illegal in Australia to have the rear foglights on unless the visibility is terrible", rear foglights allow me to drive with confidence during Perth's severe storm with <10m visibility.

I noticed that both bulbs in the rear cluster have dual filaments, meaning they are ready for rear foglights function.

What parts do I need to enable the rear foglights?
- Stalk with rear foglight switch?
- Relay somewhere?
- Fuse somewhere?
- Is the cable already run?
- Does it need reprogramming in BCM too?

Thank you guys. I am loving my i30 more and more now I have found the helpful community   :victory:
