Title: i30 "Euro" cursive emblem
Post by: eugene188 on September 11, 2012, 23:54:25
This is not much of a mod at all, but look what I got in the mail today! Took less than 2 weeks to arrive from Korea! They called it a "Euro Style" emblem...its just i30 written in cursive writing in red.

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Kspeed-Hyundai-i30-Euro-Style-Emblem-/140692115431?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20c1e74fe7 (http://www.ebay.ca/itm/Kspeed-Hyundai-i30-Euro-Style-Emblem-/140692115431?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20c1e74fe7)

Here is a picture of the actual product. It is about 3mm thick. ..and yes..that tea bag also came in the same package.

Item was packed REALLY well, bubble wrapped, then inside a box, with a little hand copied note about how they appreciate my business etc. For the price I paid, ($17USD), it better be well packed! It is actually just a piece of hard PCV type plastic which was probably machined using some kind of CNC machine as I can see the cuts on the side and it reminds me of when I used CNC machines.

Big question now is where to stick it? Front or the back? I briefly thought about putting it on the side door, but then realized i should have bought 2 if I was going to do that. So what do u guys think?

Not sure what I think of that  Not that easy to read

Maybe the teabag was included to reduce any moisture content  (wonder what type it is Green/ black /Chinese?)

yea, it thing sorta looked easier to read in the pictures, would have been easier if it was slightly larger. Would have worked really well for a white car. I for some reason was expecting some kind of soft rubber silicon type badge for some reason, instead of a hard PCV thing. Same same i guess.

From the Korean written on the bag I *believe* it says its green tea. They drink that more than the darker teas over there.

They sent you the extra gift because you don't have an i30, but an ET (bag)

sorry.

i bet thats true!

You guys should see the hand copied note they send on this girly stationary. The VERY neat writing which looks very much like a girl's is pretty long for a thank you letter. The girl must have to copy these things for hours everyday!

Stick that on your car and it will look like a graffiti artist has targeted you

I think I've mentioned this before, but my car was targetted by a graffiti vandal a couple of years ago.
They used a permanent marker to draw a cock on the back of my car.
And it didn't have feathers.
And no, they didn't know me.
It took me ages to get it off.
Had to use eucalyptus oil in the end but at least it left no trace of the "drawing."

Did the neighbours have anything to say, when they saw you energetically rubbing your cock on the rear of your car for a long time.  :whistler:

It was a very serious matter at the time.
I either had to get rid of it all together or maybe draw one identical on the other side of the car to make it look as if it was supposed to be there.
And had it been an eagle or a pheasant or something, maybe I could have got away with that.
But it was a very proud looking cock without feathers so I thought it best to try to erase it completely, as strange as it might have looked while I was actually trying to do it.
It was very hard to do and indeed it had to be rubbed with great vigour and for a very long time before it started to diminish.
But diminish it did, eventually.
I did receive a few strange looks from passers by, but the ends justified the means and by the time I'd finished there was no trace that it had had ever been there.
I did have a female friend with me at the time and she was able to help me. When my wrist got sore she took over for me for a while.
It's always good to have a fresh hand at the ready at times like that and I was very grateful for her assistance.
She was almost as happy as I was when the last traces of it disappeared into the ether and then we went and had a coffee together to celebrate.
She swears by eucalyptus oil for lots of things. She told me it would help get it off.

Couldn't you just use your other hand? I frequently use both myself......

eucalyptus oil? interesting.

here is a pic of the stationary.

It says "Solid Dot, look at the shape" because on the other side, it is white polka dots. and notice how the envelope was sealed with a green glitter heart (how sweet!). KSPEED also wishes me and my family health and happiness. Do any of your vendors wish you health and happiness to your whole family?? didnt think so.  :whistler:
