Is the new i30 going to me like the 2017 USA Elantra

Hopefully I'm not the only one seeing similarities between the 2017 USA Elantra and the Jaguar XE?

Yes, I can see it. Although the hills in the background are a bit different..

The Elantra is evolutionary though with the styling (so not  a dead copy)

In the early days Hyundai were shockers for "similar" styling, but in some cases I think other manufacturers are copying them. 

If they were the same price I would have the Jaguar...

I like the running lights on the new Elantra, nothing like that on the el cheapo Jaguar.

Just read that review. A lot more detail than most from Drive or Car Advice etc.. like the good old days..

Am I correct in hearing that the 2017 Elantra is going to a non GDI 2.0L engine? Could be a new engine in the 2017 i30. Non GDI?

Sounds like the top spec might get the same  2.0 petrol turbo as the Sonata, with smaller 1.4 petrol turbo in lesser models. That's in the USA, might be different in Australia and Europe.
