I relocated my i30 to New Zealand 4 years ago from Australia.
The 2016Q3 maps are a bit dated so I decided to try getting maps updated at my local Hyundai dealer here in NZ. They told me it is easy. But after they had completed the update, I checked & the map is still the 2016Q3 map as when the Australian dealer last updated it in 2017.
My local dealer has tried more than once to do the update but to no avail. They say the head unit is faulty.

Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong?
Are older models like mine still able to get map updates?

Follow Up:

I made contact with Hyundai AustrALIA. they say the GD models generally only accept map updates for about 5-7 years after manufacture. This puts mine 2015 model outside that range.
Questions to other GD i30 owners:

1, Has anyone else struck this?

2, what is the latest map that has successfully installed on your nav system please?

3, does anyone know if there is a work-around in the background files to make the head unit accept map updates even after 5-7 years of age?
