Correct, at the time, it was a return requirement. Gone now.  :)

Doesn't work that way. It's effectively a debit card, the payment comes from a balance held by Visa until I decide to spend it. I only have this card, to allow payments to non PayPal vendors.

Called a pre-paid card in the UK..  Load with a fixed amount - spend as required -  top up as necessary?

I've just bought two LED 881 bulbs for the i30 fog lights from a Chinese on line company.  Turns out the LED section is too big to go through the reflector hole.

Used their message system to reject and they tried to  palm me  off with a 4USD voucher and return of the bulbs for a 10USD purchase.

Refused and insisted on full refund with 15USD to be added  for returning the bulbs.

They then reply asking what exactly do I want them to do........??????????????????

I replied.. Stop delaying and refund now

They now say they will refund in 3 - 4 days watch your bank account.  Hopefully they will but as it is on a credit card used only for on line purchases I will threaten to get a refund from the bank if they don't cough up..

Back in '95 I bought several watches in Bali (& Hong Kong). They all lasted a few years.....
Never knew that Bali is such a dangerous place nowadays (good posting Phil).
I won't be returning
Thanks for the heads up  :)

I don't see the point in these fake Rolex watches.

If you obviously ain't stinkin' rich then people will assume it is a fake and you'll be branded as a vain show-off and probably untrustworthy.  :D

I mainly use a £100 Seiko which I've had for nearly 15 years now, does the job and looks fine - but not in a showy way. :)

You can buy them for a lot less than that (and put them in yourself!)  :winker:

If it worked and looked like the real thing I would have said "good score" :)

I have to admit that some of the Tag's on that website look very nice and I was tempted :D

More expensive than a cheap copy... yes! but 1000's cheaper than the originals :winker: the average there is around $150-$335 for Japanese movements ( battery and Kinetic ) and around $600 for some of the Swiss movements but their quality is outstanding and would take an expert to know the difference.

I ordered a Patek Philippe Grand Complications from there for $225, a real one would set me back $220,000 :faint:

That price is without flashy jewels/diamonds, I've seen Patek's up to $450,000, there are a few other brands that are as grossly overpriced as well.

The name mostly it's their pedigree, then you have the craftsmanship and quality of components used.

I do recall the owner of the Rolex company being asked how the time business was going, to which he replied that he wouldn't know.
He said, "If you want to know the time you can buy a Timex for ten bucks. I'm in the luxury business."
