Title: Buying used Hyundai i30 from U.K. Advice on parts
Post by: Murwagu on July 29, 2017, 20:34:28
Hal lo. Thank you for this forum. I am importing a used year 2010 Hyundai i30 1.6petrol from U.K. to Kenya where there are very few Hyundai(s) . Due to this, spares  parts and vehicle mechanics can be a challenge.

I am here to seek information on:
-Which are the best online spare part site where I can buy parts by entering the U.K plate number so that I get full compatible part?
-can I get a link to service schedule
-this being a "new" car in this part of the world, what do I need to look out for breakdown wise now that I am buying a unit with 90000miles on the clock.

Thanks

 :welcumwagon: Murwagu,

The 1.6 Petrol motor is a reliable unit if serviced by the book, as is the majority of the running gear in that model. Are you getting a manual or an auto version?

As I am in Australia I will let UK members answer your other questions.

Looks good.  :goodjob:

If it has been serviced by the book and the clutch hasn't been abused, should still be a good car.

The other thing to look for is any bad damage (accident) repair work.

The manuals in that model are fairly bullet proof and economical. Nice find.  :victory:
