Title: Engine Number Location (PD, Aus)
Post by: fabulatuaest on September 03, 2017, 03:58:57
Hi,
Just wondering where the engine number for the 1.6T-GDI engine in the new PD is located? Tried looking for it in the location specified on the book but I can't seem to find a tag.

Tried looking around the engine and noticed there was a number imprinted just underneath the cover here, but didn't match the number I have on my rego papers and on the sales contract. Dealer says it can only be located when vehicle is on a hoist.

Hi Shawn,

I checked, the number under the plastic capping is completely different to the one on my rego papers.

The dealer must be right, it must be well under the motor (more than it looks in the manual picture.)

Sorry for the trouble, and thanks for the heads up Daz! At least I know I'm not getting the runaround now  :victory:
