Title: i30 crdi 2011 6 speed estate
Post by: nickcx500 on February 20, 2017, 09:04:29
I have recently bought a 2011 i30 crdi estate 115k miles with a few problems...real difficulty in changing gear...bled clutch but no change...removed gearlever and greased linkage but no change...changed gearbox oil..no immediate change but after a few miles...wow! Like having a new car. Not getting good MPG according to trip which shows aprox 45mpg...any ideas?

My guess would be the gear linkage cables have been overtightened at service.

I have 1st hand experience of this (not saying 100% it's your issue though).

But he said the new gear oil fixed the issue.

How many miles have you done in it? What sort of driving are you doing? Mainly motorway or urban driving? When did you last reset the trip computer? Good to hear you got the gear change sorted. :goodjob:
