Hi guys, so this evening i had some spare time and decided to locate the factory amplifier in the FD SR as everyone has been wondering where it was located, what it looked like and so on...
Here are some pictures of the amp.

So i used the search function and most people said it was mounted in the rear behind the fuel cap. But all i found was my damn parking sensor unit 



Alrighty then... opposite side it is!

Ta-Daaa!... So it's mounted on the same side as the overseas models. Not everything here is backwards

Google has showed up with no results for this amp so hopefully some Electrical guru from this site can come up and explain all this in plain English for us... i hope haha
Hope this clears up some of the myths about its location, Specs and what not

great job,will only be good to me if I ever have to change it with and original if mine stuffed up,I'm not a big one for working out how to beef up a steroe.

 Only in the series one SR, Rick .. So doubt you will ever have to replace yours!

all good guys! now I'm just trying to figure out which plug is the line in and which one is the line out so i can MAYBE add a RCA line converter to connect an active subwoofer like this one. i plan on fitting it into the back seat where gap is when you put the arm rest down


Not too sure if i can YET but yea... still trying to figure out a way around it.
