Title: Privacy Glass???
Post by: DanUK on September 22, 2008, 13:11:31
Afternoon All,

I'm right on the verge of placing my order but dont know whether or not to go for the privacy glass...  Can anyone perhaps post a pic of their i30 with the uk factory fit privacy glass?  or a link to some online images..

Many Many Thanks in advance!
Dan

None of the i30's I've seen "on the road" have such tint.

The reason being, I haven't seen any i30's on the road, sorry  8-)

Couldn't see the option on HY UK website, but here's i30man's (wife's) i30 with his aftermarket tinting

Hi Dan,
I'm don't know what the tinting rules are in the UK but in some parts of Oz only the rear windows are allowed to be tinted (South Australia) - or maybe that's changed.  You specify the darkness of the tint but of course it's hard to make a choice if you don't have examples of "how dark " in front of you.  It's also best to also get a tint film with high metal content - it supposedly reflects more light and heat. I've ordered darkest legal tint on my upcoming i30, but although it's a ''factory'' option, they still go through a third party to get it done and then charge you a couple of hundred more.
