Spoke to the dealer today to sort out placing my order and he's told me...
a) there's not 1 brand new black 1.6CRDI Auto Premium in the country
b) Hyundai have capped their ordering for this year and so he could not even order me one from the factory until jan 09!
Does thiis sound like bull or is he being legit?

That's easy go the Moonlight blue....

Well, if there aren't any to buy, they can't sell you one.
I know I had trouble ordering a Black "comfort" model in February; none available so I opted for the Premium (manual) CRDi and am very happy with it.
If you think the dealership is lying, try getting in touch with the main importer which I believe is Sunwin Hyundai in Derby. They just imported a new windscreen for Fergie so they move quickly, and should be able to confirm what you've been told.

If its anything like here in OZ, than i am not suprizes that there is no stock to sell you, but not being able to even order you a car till Jan 09, now that does'nt sound right at all.
I would be ringing around other dealers. Sounds like he is jusy trying to sell a vehicle he has in stock rather than order you in another colour. Dealers dont get paid till they handover your car, so will always look to sell what they have rather than order a car that could be months away.

Great, I'll contact Sunwin and see what they have to say.
Thanks Guys

Ask them to check the Hy database as I understand it lists all cars in UK including those unsold at all their Dealers. Then see if they can "transfer" it or contact them direct.
Only a thought.
