Title: bumpkin drives over The Cairn.

This is typical of the type of roads I learnt to drive on, great fun for a motorsport enthusiast.  This one goes from a small village in the South of Aberdeenshire to Banchory, a 16% incline from that direction so not fast, but very scenic.  I always enjoy driving this one.

This is the route the video follows from Clatterin Brig at the bottom to Strachan (pronounced Strawn) at the top.

Jut love this type of road.

So long as you don't need to get anywhere fast it's a pleasure to drive on them.

I'm sure Dazz will soon tell you we have a Strachan (pronounced Strawn) is Tassie, too.
It's the jumping off point for the world heritage listed Franklin-Gordon River system.
BTW. Bloody awesome drive.

Yep, I have "flown" over Strahan.

The English pronunciation of ours is Strawn, the local pronunciation is Strrraaann!
We also have the same spelling as a surname in Scotland but that is pronounced Strrachan where the ch is not like in church, more like chic, yet not as soft as that either :confused:  Think of och aye and you are there :goodjob:

Enjoyed the video. Especially love the part from 4:30 to 5:30 where you have nice view on the road and see the landscape.. And also love the part from 8.00-9:30. Going uphill, curvy, narrow, trees...

So, do you still enjoy ix20? How does it feel after almost 4 months? (is it almost 4?)

Yep, it is almost 4 months already.  I have done 2200 miles (approx. 3500km) and have no issues at all.  The longer runs I have done with her have proven extremely frugal on the go-go juice and even with the high amount of miles I do in city driving the overall consumption which I have never reset is sitting at 40mpg.  The interior space is excellent and again on a longer run I sometimes suffered from the cramp/sore leg syndrome in the i30, which has not been a problem in the ix20 :goodjob:
The engine has freed up a bit in the last 500 miles or so and she is keener to get going now, more like the car I tested, still not quite as good as the i30 but it is 200cc less.
I will say that the build quality of the i30 was better, nothing major that you can point a finger at, but just a slightly cheaper feel to the interior, I can't say however if this is related to the overall car or if it is a Czech plant vs Korean plant issue as we do seem to have come to the conclusion here that the Korean QC might be better.

Overall though, really pleased with her :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :goodjob:

Boy that 4 months went fast, it doesn't seem that long.
I'm pleased your happy with her, I also used to get the cramp on long trips in Daz's i30. I don't in his hybrid. more room.
because I don't do long trips in mine, no problems.
