Hi everyone. I've just recently noticed rattles on my i30 daskboard and front sidedoors, when driven on mild coarse roads, very annoying. Book in for 15000 Km service next week, only 13000 at the moment but I just want them to check what causes these annoying rattle. I read many car's owners has this problem and in most of cases there's nothing can be done, hopefully mine can be fixed. Love the car, drive and handling very well, very fuel efficient as well, usually I can get 550-580 Km per tank. Cheerss

Hi Hi30,
I have just over 10,000klm on mine and thus far, rattle free. Hope they are able to rid of that annoying rattle for you.

i get quite a few rattles too, 1 faint one from the driver's door, 1 loud one from the glovebox and a few other faint ones all around the dash.
strangely i don't particularly mind, cos the car is such a hoot to drive and i absolutely love it
(contrast this to my previous car, a honda civic, which had 36 rattles + other faults, i hated it to death)

Sometimes I put coins in the drinks holder and they rattle but otherwise I've had NO rattles since acquiring my i30 over 12 months ago.

Hi guys,
Re: your rattles...have any of your had window tinting applied to your vehicle? In an older car of mine (1988 Nissan Pulsar) I watched the application of tint film take place and the internal door covers/panels are removed for this. Point is, whenever a panel is removed and replaced, it never sits back the same way it did at time of assembly in the factory. Having said that, the panel/s removed and replaced may settle properly over time to reduce or maybe even eliminate the rattles you're experiencing.
Just my 2 cents
