It wasn't a sad occassion .. it was when I found out my fellow Launcestonian Marcos Ambrose managed to win his first Sprint Cup race... When I watched the Replays it was as if I had won the race myself... :happydance: :mrgreen: :mrgreen: :mrgreen:

Yeah you missed the 2 years he was V8 Supercar Champ (2003 & 2004 I think without checking) :whistler: :rofl:

He's always performed well on the road circuits, less so on the ovals.

Channel One usually repeat the MotoGP's so perhaps they do the same with the Nascar races.......Keep an eye on your TV guide, Daz... :goodjob:

I think the top 25 or so Drivers in Nascar (which includes Marcos) are of a very high standard.
The racing seems even more competetive than v8 supercars and some of the top drivers in that are struggling to keep up.. (people like Greg Murphy for example (and Ingles) ...
I think Marcos is doing good on Ovals too, I think the difference is more the car and the crew ( just not quite there but close) :cool:

And he won again in Montreal .. Amazing drive after being involved in 2 fairly big biffs on the track... Started from the back of the grid (twice) and still won in a severely battered car... :sweating:
