Here is a list of part numbers sent to me by Darren from CheepParts4U. From what he tells me, there are three different wiring harnesses as follows:-
2L-300 if you want audio controls only
2L-400 if you want cruise controls only
2L-500 if you want both audio and cruise controls

Top of the google search is this http://www.jimellishyundaiparts.com/showAssembly.aspx?ukey_product=3381808&ukey_assembly=417791 (http://www.jimellishyundaiparts.com/showAssembly.aspx?ukey_product=3381808&ukey_assembly=417791) handy diagram.
So purchasing the relevant harness and switch assy means one would only need to take the car to the dealer for an ECU fiddle?
Since the manual in diesel is only available in SX incarnation, I had to make do without cruise control. Miss it like crazy but the $700 dealer fit option is a bit of a highway robbery. Looking at the prices on that list makes the exercise much more economical...

The wife got Cruise and Driving Lights on her MY11 petrol CW SX (cruise pack) for only $400 - Don't they offer that on the diesel CW?

Yes they do, as a "factory fit" option. My CW being a work car, it was bad enough to have to wait for two weeks for delivery (with the car already landed in Perth when my order was placed), never mind waiting even longer to make, ship and deliver.

Oh :undecided: Fair enough.. we were very lucky... They had one, best colour (for Trish) with cruise pack already on it in their Hobart Showroom .. ready to go. So only 300kms away (and a couple days wait) :happydance:

Slowly turning green over here

Sorry.. looks like you took it in good spirits. :goodjob:..Ironically Trish doesn't / hasn't used the cruise control yet .. I have, it works great...

Yeah, my wife is the same, doesn't use the cruise at all.
Surprised nobody had an answer to my question yet... :(

I guess the wording of your enquiry is a bit obscure...
There are quite a few threads on here about fitting cruise ...
Use the Advanced Search tab (in the search function at the top of the page) and search "Cruise Control" ticking the: in subject title option ... you will find quite a few threads worth a read!

Probably because this thread is in "Technical Data" and gives info about part numbers, and some members may not even open it to have a read (and hence miss your query).
Do as Dazz says, or open up a new thread in the Modifications section regarding your query ;)

Fair enough gents, my mistake to assume that everybody uses the "Show unread posts since last visit" link.

My Touring (i30CW) came with cruise, but no audio remote. I've got the audio module and plan to install it soon, but need to purchase the correct wiring harness. Do I only need to get 2L-300 (audio only) assuming the 2L-400 (cruise) is already there? Or do I need to replace the wiring there (2L-400) with the combined wiring (2L-500)?

You'll need the 2L-500. It will replace the existing wiring harness that services your cruise control module. It is a "Y" shaped harness that has one input connector & two output connectors, one each for the audio & cruise control. Hope that helps.

Hi Ugly.
Could you tell me the website of Darren (you mentioned in the first post) couldnt find it.
I'd like to ask him for a wiring loom for cruise control that goes to the ECU.
