A friend of mine who has been driving a Hyundai Terracan diesel has just traded it on a new 2011 petrol auto SX i30.
I've told him about the forum and hopefully he'll be on here soon.

Damn, I was hoping for a thousand off my next one.  :)

And on that note (& with apologies for off-topic), I got a letter from John Hughes Hyundai the other day saying that because I've previously bought a new Accent from him before, he'll give me $1750 off the price of one of the new Accents.

Pity I don't need one.  :(

I now have another good friend (aren't I lucky) who is thinking about buying an i30 to replace her Subaru Forester.
Her name is Margit and I have told her about the site so she may pop up on here one day soon hopefully.
She is a bit undecided as to whether to buy petrol or diesel and after I gave her my totally one-eyed, biased opinion, I suggested she have a look around in here and ask a few questions to get a more balanced unbiased opinion.
Hope you don't mind Dazz but I told her you have owned both so are in a great position to offer advice  :D . Thanks m8.

I really like Trish's CW 2.0 petrol.. it is still a great car and due to the lighter motor is probably more of a ladies car than the Diesel .. The diesel is unbeatable (by almost any car) on a winding road with plenty of hills but the 2.0 petrol is just as good around town or for short commutes on flattish roads.. :razz:

I met potential member # 1 today as he picked up his i30 petrol auto from the dealership this morning. Another happy i30 owner.
Looks nice too in Clean Blue.
He'll be on here soon.

Sky blue was nice but Clean blue which Trish has and is basically the replacement for sky blue .. is even nicer in our opinion... :D
