New Mazda 2 Diesel seems well down on power and torque compared to the i30. Both are 1.6lt, but the Mazda only develops 65kW and 205Nm

Must have lower boost pressure than the i30?

Yeah your right,
Thats not impressive specs for a 1.6 diesel.

Hi Folks,
Who else thinks the Mazda 2 looks like a mini i30?
The wife has been tricked a couple of times seeing the back of a Mazda 2 from distance..

Hi dazz. I think the '2' look more like a Yiaris from the back than a 'mini' i30. Maybe your wife is so fond of your i30 she sees them places they aren't lol Reminds me of my sighting of an 'i30' in the shopping centre car park. It was in fact a bmw 1 series. Companies like bmw should really stop copying the i30 for design ideas

Looks more like the Kia Cee'd from the rear.
-
From the side view, resembles a Peugeot 206. A very rubbish 206 at that
I thought Mazdas had top spec engines. Never expected one to be rated so low, powerwise
