Hi All,
i30 hatch with auto gearbox. As of yesterday it stopped shifting into park. It will nearly get there under force but just won't.
After quick shifting back and forth through the gears, it eventually clicks in without force.
This repeats every time now that I drive it. When driving there are no strange noises and everything works fine, it is only when trying to shift it into park.
I guess I will book if in next week to get it fixed, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

I'm guessing some small adjustment is needed in the linkage.
What sort of kilometers do you have on the clock?

I presume the engine is running AND you have your foot on the brake. :undecided:

Yep ... engine running and foot on brake.
It is getting harder to fiddle it to click into Park now, which is a concern because I can't remove the key until it is in Park.
I will need to book it in next week.

As to your other question H... I don't think it has ever been reported on here before in over 3 years

Only had our cars for a short time, I think you can cancel the park/lock function. Check your book, or maybe someone else here knows for sure. :)
