Title: An old buffer signs in.
Post by: TheBunyip on May 30, 2008, 15:56:29
Hi All,

I'm one of the Grey Nomads. A retiree who spends about six months in Oz where I was born and educated and six months in the UK where I married over forty years ago. I reckon I was a Backpacker before the term was invented.

My motoring passion is Diesel. For me that is the fuel of the near future as my posts on the i30 Forum and elsewhere make all too clear. I reckon I have reached "Olympic Standard" in my capacity to Bore  people on the subject.

With luck I may get my hands on an i30 CDRi this year or next. It has been chosen after much research that was started by the fact that Mazda did not use the excellent 1,6 PSA diesel in the Mazda 3 sold in Australia. I have one in the UK and expect to get ten to fifteen years out of it.

I look forward to reading about everyone's experience with this great car and learning from you all.

You finally made it!

Cheers,

I forgive you for the little rant in the P.M. (This is a lot better than our original site)
