Hi folks. Yesterday I purchased my first Hyundai in the shape of an '09 i30 CRDI 115 after trading in my sorely disappointing 09 Seat Ibiza 1.4 Sport Coupe. So far I'm loving the extra power of the turbo diesel engine and having re-set the mpg trip before my 25 mile drive to work this morning I was stunned for it to tell me it was averaging 65.5mpg! If it keeps that up I'll be very very happy Hyundai owner for years to come. I look forward to reading this forum regularly to keep myself up to date. Cheers

Succulant, I humbly apologise for my "sledge-hammer" wit. However, I never met a Scotsman who doesn't have a sense of humor.

Welcome aboard mate :D
65.5mpg is a brilliant return - slightly better than I used to get with a tuning chip attached.

Yeah it's also 30 Deg here in England too. Shame we're still using "F" and not "C" tho :undecided:

No need to boast :( Think 3.0 was more like what Northern Ireland is getting, or was getting last week :(

No worries, glad to be of assistance, succulant.
Good to see you, for a while there, I thought I'd scared you off the forum with my "sledgehammer" humour. But as you have probably found out by now, it's only the size of sledgehammer that differs between many members of our fine forum.

Geez don't get me started. It actually ran fine, it was just a bad purchase for me. Too small, too slow, poor interior build quality, not much cubbie space, rock solid suspension giving it a bone shattering ride and worst of all only about 42mpg ave. Not good enough for me. It looked cracking though.

Not at all, I got a box of those sweets at Christmas 2010 and have been using that would as my log-in and avatar ever since. The reason I hadn't commented is that I didn't notice the unread replies link and the top of the screen before and didn;t realise I had any. Duh
