Hello to you all. I have had a quick look and my eyes did not pick up on any topics relating to this.
I was wondering how you take the coolant cap off the 2011 CRDi? Mine turns like normal then stops (as per normal) but it wont lift off easily..... I am not game enough to yank it off just in case its not meant to be pulled off.... TIPS?
Regards
Bryan

do you mean the radiator cap,or the expansion bottle cap?
-
well the car seems to only have one cap...but its the cap on the white bottle up the top of the engine....
-
that sounds like the coolant overflow bottle [expansion bottle] both my cars are 2.0 petrol engines and i think the overflow bottle is different to yours and in a different position in the engine bay. my radiator has a radiator cap but the overflow bottle just has a clip on plastic cap. my overflow bottle is next to the wiper wash water bottle.

This is an easy one..... :D
It's a bit like a medicine bottle with a child proof cap, you need to push down and then turn it ... :)

:goodjob: I wasn't overlooking you M8 i just thought maybe the MY11 CRDi like Lakes has may have had a slighly different setup.. In hindsight I suppose that was very unlikely :-[

No probs, mate... :)
Just further on the cap though, turn it part way without pushing the cap down and that will release any built up pressure.... :)

is there a radiator cap on the expansion bottle Russ?
