To me - that is a seriously handsome car. I have not seen any info about a UK release date though.
-
its almost a smaller version of the i40. IMO.
-
Probably deserves its own thread but here are some pics of the all important CW.

Nice find mate.. :happydance: I'll split it off :goodjob:
I reckon the exist CW is a looker (but that looks bang up to date)

i wonder if the 2012 cw will hit the showroom floor at the same time as the 2012 hatch. :undecided:
-
Must be me and my mad tastes, but I don't like it one bit :disapp:
I don't like the curves as they sweep upwards, nor how they arc over the wheelarch, and I don't like how small the bonnet/engine area looks at the end of that long sweeping windscreen :undecided:
How are they gonna fit roofrails to that architecture?
-
Now THAT is a nice looking car :goodjob:
I would like to have that one on my driveway soon :D

but most of us hated the cw when it first came out,but most of us changed our mind after a while. :winker:

I doubt it.. My prediction for Oz anyway is 6 months shy for the CW
Maybe they are not going to fit roof rails :P

Hopefully they wont. I would be happy if they weren't on mine, all they do for me is reduce the efficiency of the diesel engine. If I want to put stuff on the roof, there are much better (and removable) options avaliable.
-
take them off beerman,I'm sure the roof plugs/caps on a hatch would fit the cw roof holes. :winker:
-
Thanks for posting the pics, beerman. I have a CW and would not mind one of the new MY12 models. It looks fantastic, but that's to be expected. After all, it IS an Hyundai
-
I wouldn't be getting too excited yet.... :winker:
Notice the website address on the photo?
The site is called The Ophiluschin, Automotive manipulator
It's just a photoshopped photo.....

So it's all Beerman's fault then...
You would expect it to look something like that though.. :whistler:
-
Yes, it is beerman's fault...I reckon he owes all of us a beer now.. :p
-
The rendering got me too. I like this much better than the regular 2012 i30. You can see the badge on the rear only says 'i30' not 'i30cw'.
-
well I'll be :censored:. i thought it was the real deal. :-[
-

I'm photo shopping one up as we speak.......
Sorry, i googled 2012 i30cw this came up on the liked site. Not speaking the language I thought it was the real deal.
Still its better than what we have had to date.....
-
It was pretty convincing so don't feel bad m8 :goodjob: (and most of us liked it) :happydance:

There see... my 'dislike' comments are fully vindicated.
Hyundai wouldn't produce a car that I don't like :P
-
Where is the CW leak then?? Surely it should have broken cover by now?

do you mean spy pics? :winker: :whistler:

The first CW was around 12 months after the hatch (so that's why I expect a delay again) Holden did it with the current shape Commodore too.. I think Hyundai does it as they are really struggling to keep up with production (of all their models)

we waited for 3 months for the cw to be shown at the Melbourne motor show and loved the car in the flesh. we then waited another 3 months for it to hit the show room floor,we drove it,loved it,and ordered one. we then waited another 4 months to take possession of the wife's cw. both our hatch and cw were ordered in late February 09,i drove my hatch away a few weeks after ordering it,the wife had to wait for the cw until July 09. her cw was one of the first to be sold in Australia.
-
Interesting Steve :goodjob: (that is more like 18 months after the hatch was available) :disapp:

the reg plates arent right looking.. however...
That car is gorgeous, compared to the existing CW (no offence) it never excited me.
Something tells me Hyundai wont do another i30 estate, with having the i40 tourer, woudn't really add up? Unless the price was significantly less

Well the i30cw was the only car in the i series to be released in North America, so I could see it being done. Though they might just re-brand the i40 tourer as an Elantra Touring.

True, just cant see how they would justify the two estates if prices so similarly, cuz the i40 tourer is well priced as it is.
I know ford and vauxhall do it here in Europe, Focus Mondeo, Astra, Insignia, but there is a fair difference between them.. wait and see I guess

Drive away price of base model i40 is almost A$10,000 more than Base model i30CW over here... :whistler:
-
Well over UK base price on i40 is about £17,400 and i30 hatch is £13,780. estate usually a bit more obviously. And the new i30 is going to be a big more expensive than the current model I think, so if we say a sake of about £3 grand difference maybe?
hmm..not sure
-
The cheapest new CW I could find on Carsales.com was A$22,090 compared with the Cheapest i40 at A$32,490 :sweating:
-
i30/i40 base models dazz?
-
i30/i40 base models dazz?
Yep, base models .. CW SX Manual (on special $2500 off) and i40 active manual ...
-
The CW is going t be greatly discounted tho i reckon with the new 2012 i30 coming out, even if its only the hatch for now, its obvious a new CW will be out then.

the i30 would be 2011 models no doubt.
