Post by: Doggie 1 on January 28, 2012, 09:06:09
Most of you may have never seen a white i30 before  so I thought I'd post a few photos of my car that I took today.
I went for a bit of a drive down to Fremantle and thought I'd get a few updated pics of the old girl.

Next to Fremantle (commercial) port:

I have seen white i30s on the roads, but never with a sunroof.

A funny story from the dealership the other day (JH).
When valuing it, the salesman said that you take the new price you bought it for (in 2009) and then devalue that price by 22% per year to arrive at its current value.
Then he said, "And yours is four years old you know."
I said, "No, it's two years and nine months old since it was complianced." (Compliance plate is 04/2009).
He said, "Oh, not really. 2009, 2010, 2011 and it's now 2012. That's four years old."
So I said, "So when I buy a 'new' 2012 model, will I get a discount because it's already one year old?"
Apparently not.

Yeah, but you have to give them points for trying.

They must think customers are a bit stupid I think if they think you'd fall for that. He still didn't seem convinced.....

No, one button takes two functions (ON/OFF), as well as there is only one button for fan rate  :P

It's funny how Hyundai make such small differences for different markets.
You'd think it would be more economical for them to make them all the same.

With Kodak going into receivership you should keep your 35mm roll film - it might be valuable one day.  :)
There's an irony there that Kodak invented the digital camera and then didn't pursue that technology but rather tried to hold on to the old film market.
