Jeez I hate it when they do stuff like that (not good for resale values :undecided:

I'll bet there's a catch there somewhere. :disapp:

Yeah, 40% off your trade in... :whistler:
-
I wonder if you can buy the car outright or do you have to take "their" finance option. :(
-
We're a cynical bunch, aren't we? :D
-
Buy it outright if you want, and usual trade in value , 90% sure.
Only reason is to clear up the old model stock, and make way for the new 2012 version, having the 2011 model still available will damage the first months sales of thenew 2012 model, which is never good.
Having a big price difference between old and new will help with sales also.

interesting... never knew this happened in that way, i always assumed pre-reg's were reg'd to the dealer.. obviouly not

We need a volunteer to find out what the deal actually involves.
Someone mature enough, who possibly would be looking for a new car.

My local dealer principle tells me that despite the media blurb -he cannot get hold of any new i30's - they are as rare as hen's teeth. He has just 4 cars left in his stock awaiting a customer and is looking forward to the new model. The Hyundai he is discounting the most at present is the ix20 - sales volume for this model is poor and Hyundai are supporting dealers to discount it heavily.

Someone mature enough,
I think that counts me out.. and possibly a few other members here judging by the jokes being told.... :whistler: :whistler:

Very astute Alan, so do you think it's a promo just to get enquiries etc.
-

That company has a vested interest in pre-registered cars..
As the registered owner is not necessarily the legal owner a bill of sale would prove legal ownership and as finance would almost certainly be involved the finance company wouldalso have an very big interest in the matter. In addition as the car is already registered the first owner has a legal obligation to provide the buyer with the buyer's part of the V5 at the point of sale. Anyone who drives off without the correct paperwork could be looking for trouble.
