Hi All
This is my first post and it's a bit of a strange one, I've had my i30 premium 5 door 1.6 petrol auto 2007, for just over a week and I'm loving it! But the passenger and driver doors have a very 'Tinny' ring to them when being closed and there is quite a lot of 'give' in the center panels, the rear passenger doors are fine, I spoke to a local Hyundai dealer and after inspection the mechanic said there are safety bars inside each door with a group of three foam pads between the bar and the outer skin he suggested one of those had either fallen down or become loose, has anyone even heard of this happening before? I've had four cars in the past and I've never had this problem before!
Any thoughts or possible remedies would be very welcome!
Phil

No such problem with mine.
Mine is also a 2007 car and I 've found the doors very "solid" when closing.
In fact one of the first things I noticed was how "solid" the thud was when closing the doors when comparing to other marques.

Welcome Phil.. Your Avatar and your user name are poles apart
First time I've heard of that issue (would be surprised if both doors would have had the packing fall out) maybe it was missed during the build?
Would have to be Korean Build if 2007 (and an early one at that!

Thank you for the replies. Hopefully the dealer will be able to remedy the situation.

Gotta love that warranty :)
Welcome aboard Phil - at least you've alerted a dealer and they seem to be acknowledging the issue :sweating:
