I have Lubricious booked in for her 45000km service on Friday and will be supplying all fluids.
I'm after a bit of advice or recommendations for a good replacement coolant. I've checked the user's manual but mo luck. Bear in mind I live in a tropical climate.
Any thoughts?
-
Your replacing coolant already?
Sailed past my 45k a while ago. Coolant looked happy, no change in temp, so I left it in.
Mine is a 2010 so it wasn't that old....

Hi beerman. Service scheduled says to replace coolant at 45000km or 24 months. So just going by the book.

Fair enough.
I don't think mine was done at 45k, if it was I didn't pay for it :whistler:

Maybe they used beer, man

If they had have, I would have no coolant.....I am reminded of Homer and the alcohol fuelled car....one for you, one for me......

Ugly Mongrel, what coolant did you end up going with?
I've got my i30 booked in for it's 45,000k service and thought i'd supply my own.
I'm looking at Nulon's Red Long Life Anti-Freeze/Anti-Boil Concentrate at this stage, mainly because it's available in 2.5l bottles..... :undecided:

Thanks mate...cheers :goodjob:

I had my coolant changed today at a non-Hyundai service centre and when I dropped it off I asked them about this and what they would recommend.
They said they would use the genuine Hyundai coolant so I just left it at that.

Thanks Dave....Did they happen to give you a price?

Thanks Dave....Did they happen to give you a price?
The invoice says 4.5 litres of premium coolant @ $6.3636 per litre = $28.64.
-
It supposedly takes 6.8 litres so I can only assume they used a concentrated coolant and topped up with water..... :undecided:
It says in the book not to use a solution that contains more than 60% or less than 35% antifreeze so I'm assuming that all works out?

Must be pretty valuable if they have to price it to 1/100th of a cent
