You may have noticed I often use my HTC wildfire for spur of the moment photos. This is because Trish commandeered our everday camera a Nikon 5x zoom jobbie for herself :whistler:
So the other day while cruising around I looked at quite a few under A$100 cameras with x4 or better zoom to either give Trish or carry around myself on a daily basis. (our other cameras are not pocket size..)
There were lots to choose from but ended up grabbing the cheapest decent brand one I could find on clearance at Target for $75
It is a Samsung PL90 (in red) and it is at least the equal in performance of the Nikon S570 which cost A$180 about 12 months ago :disapp:

Amazing value .. Trish liked the look of it so I get the Nikon back :goodjob: (prefer a 5 X zoom) - The Built in USB works well in the Samsung .. saves pulling the Memory card in and out or carting another cable :happydance:

Sounds like you got yourself a bargain, Daz....good one! :goodjob2: :goodjob:

Bought myself a new camera before we went overseas last year. it is a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS10. RRP around $450 to $500 but I picked it up on the internet for around $200. It is a great camera,16x zoom, full HD and a touchscreen that will actually take the photo if you touch it.

That is a very nice camera (i have a Panasonic FZ28 which I love but quite bulky so don't cart it unless in the car)
It is a couple of years old now, had what was considered a long zoom in it's day at 18x .. I wish it was as compact as yours..
I got a 2nd battery for it this week from Hong Kong (via ebay) for only A$7.72 including postage (and it has a higher capacity than the original) :faint: :happydance:

Panasonic cameras are great.. I would love one of those (best of both worlds) but seeing as even my Benq M1 video camera takes good stills can't justify another camera.. :disapp:
