Went into the Yellow Cabs base at the Gabba today to get some work done on the wives car (no one else could work it out, so I figured they might know a thing or two about the Falcon's rear end).
Whilst I was getting her car quoted, looked across and saw an I40 getting fitted out, looked further and there is a I30cw also getting fitted.
Seems Hyundai gave them the cars (wish they would throw one my way). They were getting fitted out, and having turbo timers fitted (apparently the turbo doesn't like sitting idle in the ranks) before hitting the road.

Wasn't too bad at 9am when I went.
I was really impressed with their service. They were running late to look at the car, so gave me a free coffee at their coffee shop, then said it would take a few hours so gave me a loan car (A Fairlane with 632,000k on the clock still drives ok).
Seems their part prices are fairly good too, and having done the job a few hundred times, should save on labour too.
Hopefully they will be done before changeover.....Its a busy little place at the best of times.

Shame they were still black, I would have got a photo myself. I dare say Hyundai and yellow will have a couple of press releases going out.....
