Welcome markdyer72 to this forum.

Best advice I can give is to ask your dealer. As it's still under warranty, and I assume you will have it serviced at the same dealer, they are the best people to determine this issue. Most companies are fairly restrictive regarding non oem equipment.

ok thanks for that, and yes i am intending having it serviced at the dealer purchasing from, and was intending to ask, hopefully should b fine tho as whilst i have been mooching around i find when looking on the hyundai site the MKi9000 comes up as an accessory for the i30 comfort, so hoping its ok to have fitted as its a very useful piece kit for my iphone :D, and also will b getting fitted by proffessional, not myself, i have seen the wiring and wouldnt know where to start lol...., will let you know how i get on when pick it up and what they say, also i notice hyundai also come with 5 yrs RAC does that apply as standard....

thanks all again for the welcomes :D, and yep i think is great colour too, i would like a white 1 but unfortunately they quite high maintenance IMO lol, and black shows scratches(if any) my astra was breeze blue which i really liked but i seen this and immediately had to have it :D, as say didnt go garage looking to buy i just went to check them out, but pleased i did :D

and yep i can sure have the parrot fitted and sure does pay to check, wouldnt want to void my warranty in any way at all...  shame about the RAC mind but hey ho i still have me own breakdown, not that i plannin on breakin down that is... touch wood lol :D:D:D

Welcome, Mark. I'm sure you'll enjoy the forum as much as your new car.

As far as having your parrot fitted, if the perch fits, it should be OK. However, any parrot poop on the seats may void you warrant.  :D

Welcome a long mark, the car looks great in silver  :goodjob2:

Hyundai use parrot kits as advertised on website, so glad you had no issues with warranty :)

5 year RAC is part of the tripple car pack that comes with the newer hyundais, ix35, ix20, i40, new i30 etc :)

Health to drive, you will love it far more than the astra, better build quality :)

We considered the Focus and Fiesta too ... but the i30 beat them hands down for price/spec

lol i'm hoping not :D

yay just had me parrot fited works a dream just like in me astra, altho only difference is now when its connected the radio doesnt display external source/phone not that thats a problem. i so love my parrot best purchace i ever made couple years ago.... and cheaper than dealers to have it fitted £45 :D  buzzin :D

mind when think about it parrot cost £75 new (was 2 for £150 at CPWH before xmas :D) £45 fitted to astra, £25 removed from astra and now £45 refitted to i30 so all in all £190 all in, still a bargain :D

well blow me down with a feather, curiosity got the better ov me so i decided to ring the Hyundai RAC breakdown number and make some enquiries, they asked for my registration number and wouldnt ya know it, its covered for 5 yrs roadside assistance, hmmmm wonder y the dealer said it wasnt, altho sayin that i checked online and said didnt come in till July 11, ohh well saves me having to renew when my current one expires :D, so technically at the moment and until May i am double covered :D

Will they confirm in writing?

I say this because the time you need to use the service they will then say NOT covered....

im sure it wont need confirming in writing, they will more than likely have the registration on there system, as all they asked for is the registration number to confirm.... and well TBH i'm hoping never to have to use it lol :D
