Last weekend when i went to get my car serviced i told them i also had a 'BONGK' sound. Kinda sounds like a very tight taught steel cable sound when strumbed but with a dampner at the end of the note?? Know what i mean? They just replaced the sway bar link bush thing. Free of charge. Has not fixed it. it does not do it as often but it still does it but on uneven ground: up steep or wide gutters, saggy parts of the road, etc. strange

Hi Bryan,
This noise has been mentioned again recently.. I'm sure it was nothing serious.. But can't recall what the diagnosis was :undecided:
-
Does anyone else suffer from this and would like like to suggest a solution or should i just not bother?
I might ask my other mechanic to have to have a look in 7500km (when i will get my car next serviced)time instead of Hyundai. If he finds what it is then i will go back to hyundai and tell them lol
-
Someone will pipe up in the next day or two with a solution I reckon Bryan (please be patient) :winker:

Bryan, I split your request off into a new topic under your ownership as these things often get overlooked when buried in older threads :D

Sounds like it could be part of the road spring retaining assembly come loose / broke. They often have a rubber block that can come away and leave the spring grinding against metal when the suspension moves.
